WRITING (with NBC) - Residents of a town in Central Florida were surprised by the appearance of a crater 20 meters wide. The incident took place on Sunday (23).

According to the local affiliate of NBC TV network, the crater opened at 1pm, in a neighborhood in the town of Groveland, west of Orlando.
The area had to be isolated, and one resident was taken from his home.

According to geologists, the appearance of the crater is related to high frequency of recorded rainfall in the region in July, and that other craters can arise at any time.

According to experts, heavy rain threatens the soil, increasing the chance that it collapses generating craters (which in English are denonimadas sinkholes).

The emergence of the crater forced the authorities to issue an alert to boil the water before consuming population it
